Come spectate at the spectacle
Come see the
world’s biggest vegetable
It will be
shown outside
Because its
vast size
Won’t fit through the door of the vestibule
There was a
young man named Reg
I knew only
ate fruit and veg’
But image my
surprise
When I found
him outside
Nibbling my garden hedge
Of my Dad,
known to many as Bill
It’d be
wrong to say ‘he’s over the hill’
Although 80
today
It’s more
truthful to say
There’s plenty more years ahead still
My friend with
a liking for Scrabble
Often in
whisky would dabble
And when the
two mixed
She’d sit
there transfixed
And mutter and mumble and babble
There was a young teacher from Brisbane
Renowned for imparting great wisdom
But when he drank beer
It some became clear
He lost his erudite diction
